Duck Creek, UT

We were invited to spend last weekend in Duck Creek with King and Ellen to celebrate Ellen's birthday!!!  Oh how we love Duck Creek (and look at those beautiful colors) so, we took Hudsen out of school early on Friday and arrived just in time for supper!!  Friday was Ellen's birthday so we had steak, rice and salad!  It was delicious.  Then we had cake and watched Grandma open her presents!!  Saturday we woke up to see deer eating in the front yard then we went fishing, came back to the cabin to play outside, ate hamburgers and hot dogs for supper, fished some more and finished the night with a fire and s'mores.  Sunday we woke to see more deer, packed our things, went fishing and then headed home.  We stopped in St. George and had supper at Culver's and then made it home in time to give Hudsen and Nolen a haircut and shower and watch the Packers beat the Seahawks!!  It was a wonderul weekend and here are a few pictures to show just how much fun we had!!

Friday after supper and getting ready to have cake.  Grandma and two of her three grandboys!!!  (Weston would love Duck Creek too and we wish him and his mommy and daddy could have been with us also!)

Don't mind us, we are just a little hungry!!

First day of school 2015

We had such a fun summer and I think one the boys will always remember, I know I will! The only thing was we didn't have a set bedtime this summer so we spent all last week getting the boys back into a school sleep schedule! As hard as it was, it worked! They didn't fight us to get in bed Sunday night and were asleep by 9:30! Hudsen started First Grade Monday and Nolen started PreK today. Both boys look like they grew a lot over summer and were both looking so handsome on their first day! They both had Great first days and we look forward to a wonderful school year!

They spent the night with Grandma and Bompa Friday night, so we took them to Bahama Bucks for a sno-cone on Saturday after picking them up! It was so Yummy!

8-24-15
Hudsen starts First Grade! He loves his teacher, had a great first day, has several kids he knows in his class and sees lots more at lunch and recess!  Walking up to his school he said, "I am going to love first grade!"  Of course he is! I love how he loves school!

8-25-15
Nolen starts Preschool (PreK)! He will go three days this year and he is so excited! I love that it is three days in a row to help him get used to that! He had a Great first day also! He loves his teacher, had pancakes and milk for snack, played some soccer and did some singing and dancing! When I picked him up he asked, "So I get to go three days right?" Yes sir you do! I love how he loves school too!

Diamondbacks Baseball Game

Last weekend Tim had to go to Phoenix for a meeting and training.  His company got a suite at the Diamondbacks game on Friday and he was able to take us!  We had great seats, the boys were able to play in the Sandlot, we got to meet Tim's co-workers and they had fireworks Friday night!  We stayed an extra night and went to the game on Saturday too.  They retired Randy Johnson's number at Saturday's game and we had great seats that night too!  The boys got a foul ball and we just had good ole family fun!!  This was our last little getaway before school starts and we had fun!  The boys loved the games and are now Diamondbacks fans!  They got a baseball hat at the game on Saturday and they have worn them everyday since!

Friday night before the game. Our suite was inside TGIFriday's so we had some cheeseburgers before going to the Sandlot!!

The Sandlot!
It was a place right above our suite where the kids could play.  They had face painting, a playground, a little field for the kids to hit and run in and a batting cage!  The kids played for a little bit in the playground and then spent the rest of the time in the little field where they had a coach pitching to them!!  It was so much fun!

The playground!

The little field where we spent the rest of our time!

I still got to watch the game when my kiddos weren't hitting!

They loved The Sandlot!!
