ARGH!! Pirate Day Matey's!

Happy National Talk Like A Pirate Day!!!

I have two boys that love pirates and to dress up!!  Last week, Ellen's neighbor told her about a donut deal for today at Krispy Kreme!  If you had on three items on their list then you could get a dozen glazed donuts FREE!!  Now, who doesn't like pirates and donuts?!  My boys were so excited about this fun adventure!  So today we woke up and talked about it being pirate day and getting donuts!  I had a fun doctor appointment and when I got home we got dressed up and drove to Krispy Kreme!!  What fun!  There were lots of little and big pirates and all ages!!  Hudsen had lots of fun looking at all of them!  We had donuts for lunch, don't judge, and have been pirates all day!!  We have had a blast!!

Dressed and ready to go!  My two cute pirates!!  This was Nolen's first time to dress up before Halloween and he loved his "Jake" costume!!

Yes, I dressed up too!!!  It was so much fun!!!  We got two dozen free donuts for dressing up and could have had three dozen!  I had to tell them that two was plenty.  What would I have done with 36 donuts?!

This was our first picture.  When we walked in there were five high school guys dressed up and I asked one of them to take our picture!  Nolen was a little scared of the guy!!

These were the guys in front of us. They were nice enough to let me take their picture!  They were too cute!

This was not one of the free ones but who could pass that cute donut up!!

Donuts for lunch!  We did have chocolate milk too!!!  Yes I know, Mom of the Year......not so much but it was fun!!

Happy Pirate Day Me Matey's!!  ARRRRGGGHHH!!!

Back from Plainview and Hudsen starts school!

So I dropped my camera in the pool during 4th of July weekend and was so sad! I have no pictures of July and most of August!  Me and the boys went to Plainview in August  and I have a few pictures I took with my phone but not many!  Amy, my older sister, flew out on a Saturday and we started the journey to Plainview.  We drove to Flagstaff the first night and stayed in a hotel and then woke up and made the rest of the drive the next day!  The boys were GREAT!  Whoever invented dvd players is awesome!  We had lots of fun while in Plainview and was able to attend my cousin's wedding and Ashton and Stella's birthday party!  My mom drove back with us and stayed for a week!  I purchased a new camera while mom was here and I feel complete again.

The Thursday after we got back, we went to Movies in the Square at Town Square!  It was their final movie of the summer and they showed Hotel Transylvania!  I am so sad we missed them all this summer because we had a blast!  It's a free movie outside in the square and first come first serve seating!  They also had free popcorn!  It was so much fun and the weather was nice!

Hudsen was impressed with all the rain!

Thank you Amy for flying out and riding back to Texas with us!  We had so much fun and it was fun to get to have lots of time to visit with you!  We love and miss all of my family and can't wait to see y'all in December!

Michigan Wedding

Tim and I have a very dear friend, Bobby!  Tim and Bobby were roommates and teammates at college in California!  Bobby grew up in Michigan, went to school in California for a year with Tim and then went back to Michigan.  When Tim and I were planning our wedding, Bobby was one friend that Tim worked hard to get in touch with to invite to our wedding.  Instead of just coming to our wedding, Bobby decided to drive out and start living in Las Vegas.  I immediately loved Bobby after meeting him for the first time the week of our wedding!  He was so much fun and just always so happy and positive!  A few years ago Bobby decided to move back to Michigan to take care of his mom who had cancer.  His mom passed away a year after Bobby moved back home and I am so glad he was able to have that year with her!  Just another reason Bobby is so special to us!  He decided to go back to school and that is where he met Alexis!  We knew they were gonna get married because Bobby looked so happy with her.  They had a sweet little boy, Tristen, last December and they were married this past weekend!  Tim had the honor of being in the wedding and we would not have missed it!  We had a wonderful time celebrating two very special people and met lots of new fun people too!

We love you Bobby, Alexis and Tristen!  We wish you a lifetime of happiness!  Congratulations our friends!

Me, Tristen and Bobby!  I am so excited to be able to babysit this sweet little boy when Bobby and Alexis come out to Vegas next month for a wedding!  Doesn't the groom look so happy!!

We stayed in the Italian Room which was the original owner's room!  It was so pretty!

The bride and her ladies got dressed in here to they had their dresses in the room when we checked in.  I got ready fast and then got out so they could have their time!

The day after the wedding, we checked out of our room at the castle and had plenty of time before we had to be back at the airport!  We took Tim's tux back, ate at Texas Roadhouse and then headed to Ann Arbor, Michigan to check out the University of Michigan and the Big House (football stadium)!  It was so pretty and the campus was so cool!  The Big House, well it was so big!  What a fun place for kids to go to school!  I told Tim that I want the boys to go somewhere like that, with a lot of history and the community support!  He is pushing for Texas A&M and that's fine with me!!

The streets around the campus with big trees!  Sooo pretty!

We had such a fun time but we were also so glad to be home and see our boys!  Thank you King and Ellen for keeping them!  This was our first trip without a child since Hudsen was born!  We missed them so much and couldn't wait to give them their prizes!!  Now we look forward to seeing Bobby and Alexis in October and introducing the boys to Tristen!!
