Father's Day 2015
We had a fun day! We started by taking the boys to sing with their VBS kids and then we went to visit King and Ellen. They had been traveling for almost a month and got home Saturday night and the boys were so ready to see them!! Then we came home and Tim grilled steaks and corn on his new grill!!! We also had baked potatoes and hot fudge sundaes for dessert. We got Tim a grill for Father's Day. We are a charcoal family and our old one was 7 1/2 years old and the legs were about to fall off! The boys picked the new one out and I put it together last Monday!
I can't say enough how wonderful of a Dad Tim is! He works so hard during the week and when he comes home he will always play a little baseball with the boys, draw pictures or whatever else they want him to do! THANK YOU Tim for being a Wonderful Daddy and Husband! We love you!
Hudsen playing while Daddy cooked! He actually ate his steak!!! That is huge folks. Course he wanted to dip his in mayo but hey whatever gets him to eat some meat!!
Nolen playing a little baseball while Daddy cooked. This boy loves meat, especially if he has ketchup!!
Update on our Summer so far:
Nolen playing with his train!
Hudsen drawing a fun picture!
Day 1 of VBS! This is the first year the boys have gone to VBS! They LOVED it and are really sad it is over! They had such a fun week!
We have a membership to the Children's Museum now and we are so glad!! We love the museum. Our first visit of the Summer! They have the most awesome dinosaur exhibit right now! This was our first time to see it and the boys loved it! We had to make three trips back to play with the dinosaurs. We were there for 3 hours! We plan to make it a once a week trip! We love that place!
They are just so cute!! This exhibit stays until September and I am so glad because they love but also because Ashton is coming out with my Dad this summer and he will love it too!
My boys are not big on swimming and swimming pools. They mainly don't like to put their face in the water. So I found this $20 pool and we have spent just about every day and evening out in the pool! They love it!
Watching a little TV after coming back inside!
This cool bright orange dragonfly decided to hang out with us the other day! Such a pretty thing!
I got this recipe for crock pot chicken tacos off of pinterest and was really excited to try it! It is three ingredients and super easy! They were SOOO YUMMY! I wish I could remember how to put in a link to her page but here is the recipe.
4-6 Thawed chicken breasts
1 pkg of taco seasoning (any brand) I used great value
1-16 oz. jar of salsa (any brand) I used pace-medium
Put all these in crock pot and cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours. Then shred with fork and start building your tacos!!
We had black beans, chicken, sour cream and cheese but you can make them with whatever you love! They were so very yummy!
