Visit to Mom and Dad, Mother's Day 2013 & Memorial Weekend 2013

Visit to see Mom and Dad:
To summarize, my Dad has sleep apnea and he wears a machine when he sleeps to help him sleep better.  In February he had an episode where he did not get adequate oxygen to his brain and he passed out.  My mom could not wake him up and when she finally did he did not know where he was or who anyone was.  He did start to remember things in the ambulance ride to the hospital.  They could not find anything wrong and told him to have his machine checked out.  In April he had another episode but woke up much quicker and without the memory loss but still was scary.  His boss, also our cousin, suggested that he stop by the heart hospital in Lubbock the next day since he did not need an appointment.  He told Dad they would check him out and if they didn't find anything then they would send him home.  Well they ran tests and blood work and everything came back great but the doctors wanted to keep him overnight, since that is when the episodes occur, and do a stress test the next morning.  Well he did not pass the stress test and they did an angiogram and found blockage.  Dad had a triple bypass the next day.  They found that his main artery was 99% blocked and the one behind that was 100% blocked and a 3rd had blockage as well.  Luckily the heart muscle was not damaged and in great shape so they did the bypass and he went home 5 days later.  This had nothing to do with his sleep apnea episodes but because of those Dad's boss got him to the best place and taken care of!  I was able to go visit and stay with Dad for a week after he got home and I am so glad I got to go, I just wish the boys could've gone because everyone wanted to see them and I sure missed them for a week!  Thank you to Tim, Grandma and Bompa for taking care of them while I was gone!  Dad is doing great now and will probably go back to work this week!  We thank God everyday for taking care of Dad and the timing in all of this.  Much longer without being checked out and it could have been so much worse!  I love you Dad and am so glad you are doing so well!

Me with my Mom and Dad!  I love them so much!

While there I got to see a very dear childhood friend!  I am pretty sure she was my very first friend!  We were neighbors on the farm and had so much fun growing up!  She was in an accident and we are so thankful to God that she is recovering and doing well!  Keep at it La, we love you!

Mother's Day 2013:
We had such a fun day!  Tim and the boys got me a little table for outside and a couple of pots and some flowers to plant in them!  We did that the night before and then I got the boys to put their hand print on both pots Sunday morning!  I LOVE seeing their hand prints when I go out to water the plants!  We went to King and Ellen's for dinner and had a wonderful day!  I have truly been blessed with a wonderful Mom and Mother-in-law!  I have learned so much from them and love them both so much!  I am so thankful that God chose me to be Hudsen and Nolen's Mommy!  They are truly the greatest gifts!  I love you Hudsen and Nolen and I love being your Mommy!

Memorial Weekend 2013:
Big Bear, CA
Tim and King have wanted and talked about going camping somewhere with the boys for quite some time.  They looked into several places.  A while back Tim's sister and her husband, Beth and G, went to Big Bear, CA and stayed at a bed and breakfast.  They loved it so King got an email list for when they had specials on cabins and any special events!  Last Monday, Ellen called and said they found a cabin for 50% off for Memorial Weekend and wanted to know if we could go.  Well, who could turn down a deal like that so we said yes!  Me and the boys drove with King and Ellen on Friday morning!  Tim had to work so he came when he got off and got there around supper time.  We had the best time.  The boys played outside all day everyday!  There was a playground, basketball goal, and shuffleboard game on our campsite.  They also had a fire on Saturday and Sunday evening for a couple of hours to roast marshmallows and make s'mores!  On Saturday we drove, not far, to another park on the lake and the boys played and chased and fed ducks!  Then we went to the zoo.  It is a rescue/rehabilitation zoo and it was so neat!  On Sunday we let the boys play and play, then we went on a tour of Big Bear Lake on a pirate ship!!!  The crew were pirates and we even shot off the cannon!  It was a lot of fun and the boys had a blast and even got to pick a toy out of the treasure chest!  After supper Sunday, we went to the fire pit to roast marshmallows and make s'mores!  The boys had so much fun and Hudsen had two whole s'mores while Nolen ate a lot of marshmallows!  We came back today and are wiped out but we had so much fun and can't wait to go back!  Happy Memorial Day and thank you to all service men and women!

Opening Day-1st Tball Game

Happy Opening Day for Western Little League-Las Vegas!
The season has started and we had so much fun today!  So many things have made this day extra special!  1-Hudsen is our first baby which makes for our First Tball game as parents. 2-Tim played for Western Little League-Lubbock, TX and Hudsen plays for Western Little League-Las Vegas, NV. 3-King (Bompa) and Tim both have the same little league patch that Hudsen has on his shirt sleeve.  4-Bompa helps coach Hudsen's team!
Tim made the comment when he walked up to the fields this morning that this was nothing like his opening days!  They had a raffle, silent auction, games and blowup slides, obstacle courses and a really good concession stand!  Hudsen had so much fun on the slides and Nolen didn't want any part of them!  At 11:30am, they began to gather up all the teams for the parade and opening ceremony that started at 12:00!  There was lots of talking, first pitches and pictures.  Then they opened up the games and slides until the first games that started at 3:30!  Luckily we only live about 7 minutes from the fields so we all came to our house and had hamburgers and hot dogs!  We watched a little college baseball and then headed back to the fields for our first game!!  Now I have heard stories about the first tball game and I have to say that this was one of the best "first" tball games I have seen!  They played 3 full innings and the kids had a lot of fun!
It was a full day of going, going and going and we had fun!  The boys did not nap and were outside playing all day but they did finally give out at 8:30 for Nolen and 9 for Hudsen!  I have looked forward to this day for a long time and it was wonderful!  Here is to many, many more ballgames for The Watts Family!!!

He is ready and so excited!!!  He loves his uniform!
