Artwork

I found this idea on pinterest where you take a canvas, tape the child's name on it and then let them paint it.  My canvas was not big enough for their name so I just put their initial.  We did this last night and what fun it was!  The boys had so much fun painting and we now have a priceless piece of art from both of them!  I was originally going to hang these beautiful art pieces in our hallway upstairs.  Two nights ago I was laying in bed and looking around our room.  We don't have a lot of decor in our room, it seems to be the last room we think about.  So I decided to hang them in our room above our bed!  I can't wait to hang them today!  Our next project this week is to color eggs with kool-aid, another pinterest idea!!!!!

Just getting started!  I did their handprint first and then just told them to paint away but they had to stay away from their handprint!

Hudsen getting started!

Nolen getting started!

Nolen had a blast!  He got to be messy and he loved it!

Little painters!

Hudsen loved this project!

I thought I would just help a little but quickly learned they didn't need my help!  They were doing great on their own!

Hudsen's getting close to being done!

Nolen's almost finished!

Hudsen is finished!!

Nolen had already gone in to take a bath because he had paint everywhere!

Our little artists!  Thank you Hudsen and Nolen for a fun night and for the beautiful art pieces for our room!

Their handprint is their signature but I did put their name, date and age at the bottom!!  I had been planning on doing this for a long time but was always afraid of how we would do it and the mess!  I have learned that a mess can always be cleaned and outside is a perfect place for lots of things!!!  So glad I didn't wait too long and forget about the idea!

March (so far)

This is what we have been up to this month!

March 1st is the day that Hudsen was baptized so we celebrated with a little cake!

The first two weekends in March, we stayed with King and Ellen!  Tim was in California for work the first weekend.  King and Tim went to the World Baseball Classic in Phoenix the next weekend.  They got to see USA play Mexico, Italy and Canada!

The boys playing with Spiderman!

Getting ready to watch UNLV!

Making s'mores in Grandma and Bompa's backyard!

Getting ready to take Hudsen to preschool!

The boys playing outside!

Our weekend with Grandma while King and Tim were watching A LOT of baseball!  They were able to watch the Texas Rangers play a spring training game as well!  While they were gone, King and Ellen's neighbor brought the boys this really neat tent!  She is so sweet to the boys and they really like her too!

They loved the tunnel!

Playing catch through the tunnel!

Sweet Nolen!

Sweet Hudsen!
We went to the mall with Grandma and Bompa after preschool one day and played!  They had the lower level decorated for Easter and the Easter Bunny was there taking pictures.  While they did not want to take a picture with the Bunny, they just wanted to wave and say bye to the Bunny, they loved standing on the bench to take a picture in front of the decorations!

Words cannot even express how much I LOVE these two boys!

Shooting spider webs!

Sweet boys!

Nolen is obsessed with putting his balls in a line!

Playing with the fun learning ball Amy and Onon got Nolen!

Hudsen got his t-ball uniform, his first Little League uniform, and he was so excited.  He wore it all day!!

Hudsen's Easter party at Preschool!

A visit from the Easter Bunny!  I guess since all the other kids took a picture with him Hudsen thought it would be okay if he did too!  He was the last one!

They then hunted some eggs in the sanctuary!

That was as close as Nolen wanted to get to the Bunny!  He didn't care that the other kids thought he was pretty cool!
Showing Nolen what he found!

Grandma and Bompa came to the party and I love this picture!  Everyone is looking at the camera!

This last group of pictures is from today!

Hudsen had all the good guys facing off with all the bad guys!

Next week is our Spring Break and since our preschool is a voting site, Hudsen will not go back to school until April 4th!  We plan on playing outside a lot and having a wonderful Easter!

Happy Easter everyone!  It's a wonderful day to celebrate our Risen Lord!

Nolen is 2!!

HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY NOLEN!!

It is crazy to think that two years ago we were in the hospital having our second little boy!!  My how time flies when you are having fun!!  We had a small party with just family on Sunday for Nolen's birthday and we had fun!  Pizza, cake, presents and family make the best birthday parties!!  Nolen did not sleep well the night before his party, too excited, but that did not keep him from going non stop and having a wonderful party.  He did crash after we finished cake though!!  He got lots of wonderful gifts!  Thank you to everyone who made his day special!

The Birthday table and room!

The cake!  I had so much fun making this one!!  I always like to coordinate the invitation with the cake and loved how it turned out!  The boys loved it!

Nolen checking it all out and Hudsen telling him how the whole birthday thing works!!

fun learning ball and elmo pj's from Amy and OnOn

Hudsen got some fun learning sheets from Grandma and Bompa

He got so many fun things and he loves them all!  I was not the mother that decorated the boys rooms when they were born with a certain theme.  I felt like I wanted to wait and let them decide what they were interested in so that they would love their rooms!  They both LOVE baseball, SHOCKER I know, so they both have baseball rooms now.  We did Hudsen's room when he was two, so that's what we did with Nolen.  That made his birthday shopping a lot easier.  He got a new sports quilt from Grandma and Bompa and decorative things from Nanny, me, Tim and Hudsen.  He loved them and loves his room too!!  I have to paint his headbord and nightstand and then I will put a picture up of his room!  It turned out so cute!  He also got a bbq grill, books, unlv t-shirt, sandals, easter clothes, golf clubs, elmo pj's, fun learning ball and his own t-ball set!

After the party, enjoying some Nanny time!!  We had so much fun with my mom and due to some crazy weather in Plainview, we got to have her for a couple days longer than planned!!!  She went home today and Hudsen was really sad to see her go but we can't wait to visit this summer!!!

Love it!
