Clapping

Hudsen started clapping this week and it is the cutest thing. What is so cute is he knows when to clap. He likes to watch Dancing with the Stars with me and he claps for everyone! He is such a joy! I was able to get him to clap on video last night. Enjoy!!

9 Months

Hudsen is 9 months old!!!! I can't believe we are 3 months from his First Birthday! CRAZY!!!!! People always tell me that the first year goes by so fast, and it really does! Hudsen had his 9 month check-up today and he is 21.4 pounds and 31 inches. He is perfectly healthy. The Dr. says that he is advanced for his age because he walks around the furniture and from one piece of furniture to the next. He can now begin to try some table food!!! I am so glad because he has been eyeing our food for quite some time now. He is really active but still seemed to gain a pound!!!! He is SO TALL!! He only got one shot this time and he goes back in December for his one year check-up!! His new accomplishment is climbing the stairs. We did get it on video but are having trouble loading it on the computer. When we do I will post it because it is so cute. He climbed all the way to the top without any help!!! He also held a pen today and was able to click it with his thumb! He is a genius.

We have so much going on the next few weeks. Amy, and we hope Leon, are coming at the end of the month while Tim is in Mexico for Brian and Erin's wedding. They leave and Tim gets back on the same day and then three days later our bestest friends come out to visit for a few days!!! One week after they leave is when Hudsen and I go to Plainview for my birthday and Mollie, my niece's, wedding! Busy but so much fun!!!! We can't wait to see everyone!!

Cold

Hudsen has his first cold. It's so weird to say someone has a cold in the 107+ degree weather. He is a trooper though and is feeling much better. He continues to grow everyday. He weighs 20 lbs. 6 oz. and is extremely tall. He is so active and I am so glad. He is crawling, pulling up on everything and has started standing on his own for a few seconds at a time. He walks around the coffee table and along the couch. He is just growing too fast.


I posted a couple of months ago when we started eating baby food that Hudsen did not like anything green. Well.......he is now eating peas and green beans. We started out having to cover them in sweet potatoes or squash, but now he will eat them on their own. I just hope he will keep it up. Here are some pictures from this month so enjoy.

Crawling!!!

Yay!! Hudsen is crawling. He started crawling Friday and is now everywhere and pulling up on everything. We are so very proud and wanted to share this big accomplishment with everyone. This video is of him crawling. I will post one of him pulling up and crawling later this week!! Enjoy!

Baseball Game

Last weekend we drove to California for Hudsen's 1st baseball game. It was an interesting trip but we had fun. We left on Friday and when we got there Hudsen did not want to sleep. We had a rough night. On Saturday, we tried to go to the beach. Tried is the key word........we drove around for about an hour looking for a place to park. The beach was PACKED!!! We then decided to go eat and go to the game and try the beach Sunday. We got to the game early and there was a celebrity softball game going on. They had opened up the outfield for fans to watch the game and take pictures. We went out on the field and took some really good pictures. Hudsen got to put his feet in the grass of a major league ballpark at just 7 months of age!!! We then made our way to our seats and wouldn't you know it.....our row was the only one that was completely full!!!!!! We made it to the 7th inning stretch and decided to leave early. LA fans are not the greatest and Tim was wearing his Marlins gear. Hudsen had a better night on Saturday. Sunday we made it to the beach. This would be another first for Hudsen. The weather was nice and who doesn't like the sound of the ocean!!! Here are some pictures to share with everyone!!

Funny Boy!

I meant to post this video with the previous post but I uploaded the wrong video. A few nights ago Tim and I were watching TV and Hudsen was in his walker just playing and talking. He did something that made us both laugh....it was one of those throw your head back and really laugh kinda things. When I did that Hudsen got so tickled. I threw my head back and laughed to see if he would do it again and he did. So this was the game we were playing. I made Tim get the camera and video this. I was laughing so hard I was crying and my sides were hurting.

The beginning is a little bumpy and you definitely need the sound turned up so you can get the full effect!! Enjoy!!

5 YEARS!!!

Tim and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary this past Friday!! Tim looked up what you are supposed to get each other and your 5th anniversary is wood. So, we had been talking about re-doing our dining room. I wanted to paint a gold color and Tim really wanted a darker color. Without me knowing, he picked out two paint colors and got some wood to make a chair rail. He then painted the top portion Honey Butter and the bottom portion Bordeaux with the chair rail white. He has become very handy and quite the home designer!! It is beautiful and I love it!! I didn't actually get him some wood that he could hold but he does get to see some wood. I got us tickets to the Florida Marlins at LA Dodgers game. Tim has two favorite teams.....Florida and Boston. This will be Hudsen's FIRST baseball game!!!!! We are so excited. We really try to see at least one game a season and we haven't been to one this year.

Grandma and Grandpa (Ellen and King) stayed with Hudsen while Tim and I went to dinner and a movie. We ate at PF Chang's and then went to Harry Potter The Half Blood Prince. PF Chang's is special because that is where Tim took me to eat on our first date and then 5 years ago we had our rehearsal dinner there. As for the movie....... WONDERFUL!!! I loved the new Harry Potter movie but I am a huge Harry Potter fan!! I can't wait for the next one!!

To sum up..... our anniversary was WONDERFUL!!! We can't wait for the baseball game and we will post pictures of Hudsen's first game!!!!
