Santa Fe 2012

My side of the family has been wanting to all meet and take a mini vacation together.  Amy and Leon found this really nice place, Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino, in Santa Fe, NM and brought it up last year.  We all couldn't make it happen so we made sure to make it work this year.  We stayed from Thursday-Sunday and we had the best time.  The ladies and kids didn't leave the resort the whole weekend and the men played 27 holes of golf on Friday and 36 holes on Saturday!  They had a great time.  It was so fun to watch the cousins be able to play and hang out and me, my sisters and mom were able to hang out together!  The kids swam and played in the water park, we ate a lot, laughed a lot, talked a lot and made some wonderful memories!  On Saturday when the guys got back from golf, they took over the kids and let us girls have girl time.  We went down to the casino and played until 1:00am and had the best time.  I don't think anybody won anything but we sure had fun!!  On Sunday as we were leaving, we all stopped at Gabriel's to eat some mexican food and it was soooo good!  Next year we plan on staying longer!  Thanks Amy and Leon for finding this place and here's to many years of memories in Santa Fe!!!

Mother's Day 2012

Happy Mother's Day! 

It was a great day!  Tim had to work in the morning so the boys and I went to church and they were wonderful!  Then we went to Grandma and Bompa's.  Hudsen is at such a cute age, honestly every age for both boys has been cute, but Hudsen is at the age where he loves to tell you Happy Birthday, if it's your birthday, or Happy Mother's Day or whatever the celebration day may be!  I truly am honored and so thankful that God chose me to be Hudsen and Nolen's mommy!  I am also so thankful that God gave me my mom!  She was my mom growing up and still is but she is my best friend too!  She is a very special lady and I love her dearly!  I am blessed to have married Tim and have Ellen as my mother-in-law!  She is a wonderful lady and I love her.  I have learned so much from both of these women and I am so glad that my boys have them too!  Grandmothers are special women!  I always think of my grandmothers and great grandmothers on this day too.  I grew up with both grandmothers but also grew up with three great grandmothers.  I am so glad I had the opportunity to know them and spend time with them.  They are no longer on this earth with us but they are in our hearts.  I loved them so much and enjoyed every minute I got to spend with them.  It truly is a special day!

Bounce Fun!!

We got Hudsen a bounce house for Christmas 2010.  He is really loving it and Nolen is big enough to get in and play!  We had Lenzi and Spens over yesterday to play and they had so much fun!  Hudsen loves playing with Spens and Nolen thought he was pretty cool!  They were both so good with Nolen and were so careful when he was around!  We put it up again last night to play in because the weather was so nice!!  They love it!  Thanks for coming over Spens and we can't wait to play again!!!

Gardening and Play Time

We got Hudsen a garden box to plant some flowers in and he was so excited to get it started!  I painted it red and then Tim and Hudsen put it in the ground and planted his flowers!  We put it right out the front door and I love that everyone that comes over can see it when they come to the door!  Here are some pictures of the process and I will keep you posted on the progress.  They are seeds so it might be a while!!!
